Aerial Solutions TV Program Announcement - Monday, September 15, 2014

The President of Aerial Solutions, Cleve Cox, announced today that Aerial Solutions will be featured on an upcoming episode of Innovations with Ed Begley, Jr. on the Discovery Channel. The initial showing will be aired nationally on Friday, September 19, 2014, at 7:30 am ET and 7:30 am PT.  Mr. Cox stated: “I am very happy that the producers of Innovations have chosen Aerial Solutions to participate in their program. Innovations features technology that improves efficiency and safety while minimizing impacts to the environment. The technology pioneered by Aerial Solutions fits in perfectly with the goals of Innovations and we are proud to be a part of the program.”

The show will demonstrate the aerial side trimming work being performed by Aerial Solutions. The company has trimmed thousands of miles of utility corridors since the company’s inception in 1985, helping many utilities provide safe, reliable service to their customers. Phil Charlton, Executive Director of the Utility Arborist Association, will be featured on the segment where he explains the importance and value of controlling vegetation on utility rights-of-way.

Aerial Solutions helps with Ronald McDonald charity. - Monday, September 30, 2013

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - There were golf balls coming down from the sky Friday morning.

One-thousand golf balls were dropped from the air at the Woodcreek Country Club for charity. The Ronald McDonald House sponsored this year's Golf Ball Drop, and one lucky ticket holder won a special prize.

JCP&L aerial cutter clears tree limbs - Thursday, March 14, 2013
JEFFERSON — Motorists on Route 15 North around noon on Wednesday were treated to an unexpected aerial show. A Hughes 500 E model helicopter operated by pilot Jeff Pigott was hovering in the air, a short distance from the roadway, but it was the attachment to the helicopter that was drawing attention. A 120-foot aluminum line was extending from the bottom of the helicopter, which had departed from a helipad about three miles away. Attached to the line was a saw, approximately 23 feet in length, that was being used to clear tree limbs from a transmission line. First Energy, the parent company of Jersey Central Power & Light, has been using helicopters to cut trees for 16 years, but the aerial tree trimming program is a recent addition in New Jersey, spokesman Ron Morano said. read more ...
